Event Accessibility

Because we are inviting all people to visit the festival, the Schwindelfrei Festival has tried to ensure barrier-free accessibility to our events as much as possible.

Plain-Language 
All information about the festival and the performances is also given in plain-language on our website.

Early Admission
For those with physical or sensory impairments, and/or with visible or non-visible disabilities, we offer early admission and can admit you 10 minutes before general admission for the event. Just let the box office know and you will be picked up there for pre-admission.  

 Alternative Seating and Reclining Options
Alternative seating and reclining options are available for audience members for whom sitting on a chair causes discomfort for the following performances:

  • "Slava" by SoBo Productions on Thu, 11. Juli 2024 at 6.00 pm Uhr and on Fri, 12. Juli 2024 at 8.00 pm at EinTanzHaus / Probebühne.
  • "Radical Cheerleading" by Zufit Simon on Thu, 11 July 2024 at 8:00 pm at EinTanzhaus.
  • "Embers" by Lisa Bless on Sun 14. July 2024 at 7.30 pm at EinTanzHaus.

Relaxed Performance

  • "Stille Tänze" von Cedric Bauer am Do, 11. Juli 2024 um 18 Uhr und am Fr, 12. Juli 2024 um 18 Uhr.

Visitors can leave the hall at any time and return. There will be no flickering lights or sudden loud noises. Sounds and movements from the audience are welcome. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any seating options other than chairs for this performance.

Mobile induction system   Here is a symbol indicating that an induction hearing system is available. The background is a red square. The image symbolically depicts: An ear, with a large T (for T-coil) in the center.

  • "Radical Cheerleading" by Zufit Simon on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 8 PM at EinTanzhaus.
  • "ihopeiwill" by threeiscompany on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 9 PM at Theaterhaus G7. (Please note: Unfortunately, the induction hearing system cannot be offered for the second performance of "ihopeiwill" on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 6 PM.)

German Sign Language

A sign language interpreter will be present for the following performance:

  • "Stille Tänze" by Cedric Bauer on Friday, 12th July at 6 PM at Theater Felina-Areal. (Please note: Unfortunately, the performance of "Stille Tänze" on 11th July cannot be interpreted into German Sign Language.)

The interpreter will translate the introduction and the discussion into German Sign Language.

Accessibility Venues

Venues

The performance venues are only partly wheel-chair accessible.

The EinTanzHaus and Theaterhaus G7 are both on the ground level or have an accessible ramp and accessible restrooms.

At least two spaces are available for wheelchair users. You are welcome to call us to reserve these spaces at:

zeitraumexit can be entered over a ramp. An accessible toilet is not available.

Barrier-free access can be arranged at Theater Felina-Areal and Maquis Mami Wata venues. Accessible toilets are not available.
