How can we meet crisis with curiosity? What does theater have to do with science?

In “Tornado Watch,” two obsessed meteorologists work on recreating weather phenomena at room-scale. Using everyday objects, a performance / installation emerges that deals with analog weather simulations – future weather, fictional weather and impossible weather. “Tornado Watch” approaches huge topics such as climate catastrophes and the question of individual responsibility with playful irreverence. We observe how planets revolve, airplanes take off and ice cubes melt while we wait for a storm that will perhaps never come – all as a subtle soundtrack keeps building in the background. This is a playful plea that we remain curious in the face of crisis.
