About the Performance
How can strangers become a dancing community?
From an unusual starting point, Sense of Community will try to transform total strangers into an active community for the duration of a performance. Here, within a framework specifically designed by INTER-ACTIONS, the audience will take on a very special role.
“The title Sense of Community is conceived as a way to enable a wide variety of situations because all the content and choreography will be defined and shaped by the audience. With this live-experiment, we are trying to create an immersive experience within a performance – one in which artistic processes are truly shared with the audience. It is a structure that embraces uncertainty and chaos, and can spontaneously emerge along with the ever-changing and new audiences.
For us, the project’s relevance lies in the attempt to use art to create platforms that promote community and solidarity and to seek out new possibilities for connection.” (INTER-ACTIONS)
About the Artists
Under the direction of Edan Gorlicki, the dance company and platform INTER-ACTIONS strives to bridge the gap between stage, audience and diverse communities in its projects.
