How do we imagine a common future for ourselves and future generations? In “ihopeiwill,” dance, sound design and visual installation are combined to render an artistic reflection on the current trajectory of our society in light of the climate crisis and ongoing political tensions.

Taking interviews that the team conducted with vastly different people as inspiration for their performance, the artists pose questions about the relationship between generations and how they can coexist.  What kind of world do we wish for the next generation? What can we do to fulfill these wishes?

The performance explores the forms of connection and responsibility between generations with a vision of hope – imagining a communal future.
