About the Event
During the festival, the independent radio station in the Rhine-Neckar region bermuda.funk will establish an additional space for listening. The station is inviting visitors to experience the voices, sounds and noises in the city and region. Together, bermuda.funk wants you to discover new perspectives and to research collectively on how the diverse levels of connections can be brought to life in a soundwalk or radio project.
bermuda.funk (Freies Radio Rhein-Neckar e.V.) is a place for participation, exchange and the lived diversity in the region. Its programming is characterized by a wide range of voices, perspectives, formats and content.
As an independent local radio station, bermuda.funk creates spaces where people can express their opinions and needs, enter into a dialog with others and actively participate. In addition, it offers individuals, groups and communities a platform to be heard, seen and acknowledged – through expressing themselves in their own way and in their own language, and bringing in their own topics.
In this way, a space is created for the region’s very diverse communities and at the same time, for meeting people and exchanging ideas. In particular, bermuda.funk wants to make civil engagement audible, and in this way, visible. The contributions and initiatives in this area can be found in many radio programs, as well as in the audio mapping project, “Mannheim under Construction.” The aim is to deepen and expand these connections.
