Since 2020, the Schwindelfrei Festival has been accompanied by an advisory board. Currently, the board is comprised of six members who use their perspectives, competencies and networks to help the Festival director and curator become more sensitive about discrimination. To do this, the board members draw on their very different experiences. The advisory board’s goal is to make the director and curator aware of the structural exclusionary mechanisms and to aid in the development of new approaches. Sounds great, but what does this mean exactly? How does the advisory board work? What can it do and can’t do? How can you become a member of the Schwindelfrei advisory board?

In an informal round, this year’s advisory board members will talk about their goals and strategies for making the Schwindelfrei Festival even more accessible for audiences and artists.
